Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions I hear most often. If yours isn’t here, get in touch.
01What exactly is an AI agent, and how is it different from a generic chatbot?
A generic chatbot (like the ones you find online) answers from general knowledge and knows nothing about your business. A custom AI agent is connected to your information (procedures, documents, opening hours, price lists) and carries out specific tasks: answering a recurring question, routing a request to the right person, sending a reminder, preparing a draft. It does a few well-defined things, inside your processes.
02Is my data safe? Where is it processed?
Data protection is one of the first topics in every project. Before building anything, we agree together on which data the agent can use, where it is processed and stored and which providers are involved, in line with the GDPR. Where possible, services that process data within the European Union are preferred, and confidential information stays accessible only to those who need it.
03How much does a project like this cost?
The cost is made up of an initial setup (analysis, development and launch of the agent) plus a recurring maintenance fee (hosting, updates and support). The exact amount depends on the project and is agreed in a direct conversation, once I understand your needs.
04How long does it take to get a working agent?
It depends on the complexity and on how well organised the starting information already is. An agent with simple, clearly defined tasks takes less time than one that needs to connect to several systems. After the first conversation I’ll give you a concrete time estimate.
05Has LipaLab already worked with businesses like mine?
LipaLab is a young business and doesn’t have client case studies to show yet. What it does bring is real technical experience: work as an NLU Developer at Cerence AI, building natural language understanding systems, and a certification in AI Engineering. Every project starts with a direct conversation about your needs: that is where we work out together whether and how an agent can be useful to you.
06Does the agent replace my accountant, consultant or employee?
No. The agent handles repetitive and organisational tasks (answering frequent questions, collecting documents, keeping track of deadlines), while assessments and decisions stay with people. The drafts it prepares are always reviewed by the person with professional responsibility.
07Do I need technical skills to use it?
No. You use the agent through tools you already know, such as email or a form on your website. I take care of the technical side (development, hosting, updates) and show your team how to use it.
08What happens after the first contact?
I reply to arrange a first conversation, by video call or in person. We talk about how you work and where time is lost. If there is a concrete opportunity, I prepare a proposal with goals, timelines and costs. If AI isn’t the right answer, I’ll tell you.
