How your personal data is processed when you visit this website or contact me, under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

What data I collect
- Data you send me through the contact form: first and last name, email, company or firm (optional), the text of your message and the language of the page you write from.
- Data you send me by writing to me directly by email.
- Technical browsing data: as with any website, the hosting service automatically records some technical data (for example IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time), which is needed for the website to work and stay secure.
Why I use it and on what legal basis
I do not use your data for newsletters or promotional messages, and I do not sell or pass it on to third parties.
- To reply to your request and, if you wish, prepare a proposal. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To keep the website working and secure (technical browsing data). Legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who processes the data
I process the data personally. To run the website and email I use the following providers, which process data on my behalf or under their own terms of service:
- Netlify, Inc., which hosts the website and receives the messages sent through the contact form;
- Cloudflare, Inc., which manages the lipalab.com domain and forwards emails sent to info@lipalab.com;
- Google (Google Ireland Limited), which provides the Gmail mailbox where I receive emails and from which I send replies.
These providers are based in the United States or may transfer data there: in such cases the transfer takes place on the basis of the safeguards provided by the GDPR (Articles 45 and 46), such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long I keep it
Messages and emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your request. If no collaboration follows, they are deleted at the latest 24 months after the last contact. If you become a client, the data is kept for the duration of the relationship and for the periods required by law (for example for tax and accounting obligations).
Technical browsing data is kept by the hosting provider for the limited time needed to keep the service secure.
Cookies and third-party tools
This website does not use profiling cookies, analytics or tracking tools, or third-party content such as embedded videos or maps. Fonts are loaded from the website itself, with no connection to external services.
Your choice between light and dark theme is saved only in your browser (local storage), is not sent to anyone, and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
Providing your data
Contacting me is optional. Without a name and email address, however, I cannot reply to you.
Your rights
At any time you can ask to access your data, correct or delete it, restrict its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive your data in a portable format (Articles 15-22 GDPR). Just write to info@lipalab.com.
If you believe the processing does not comply with the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live or work.
Changes
This notice may be updated, for example if the services used by the website change. The date of the last update is shown at the top.
